CASE STUDY

From 211K to 307K organic impressions

B2B service consultancy · six-month engagement

A B2B service consultancy came to me with low visibility on the pages that actually drove enquiries. By fixing the technical foundations, strengthening service-page relevance, adding supporting content and building authoritative links, we turned that into consistent, compounding growth in search visibility.

The situation

Service pages were not earning visibility

The key service pages existed, but they were not ranking for the queries that mattered or picking up consistent impressions.

Content support and internal linking were weak

There was not enough topic coverage around the services to establish relevance, or to guide search engines across the site.

Technical issues were limiting discovery

Crawl inefficiencies and on-page problems were holding back indexation and overall performance.

What I changed

01

Technical fixes

Fixed crawl issues, improved indexation, resolved on-page errors and improved Core Web Vitals.

02

Service-page refinement

Rewrote and expanded service pages around real search intent, with clearer structure and stronger headings.

03

Supporting content

Created in-depth articles and guides covering related topics and the questions buyers ask before deciding.

04

Internal links and authority

Built a deliberate internal linking structure and earned links from relevant publications.

What changed in the data

Organic impressions grew from 211K to 307K over six months, a 45% increase, with average position improving from 15.3 to 13.3. We also achieved 30 keywords in the Top 3, while the referring-domain profile reached 631.

Figures from Google Search Console for the six-month engagement.

The growth came from a combination of technical fixes, stronger service pages, supporting content and a more authoritative backlink profile. These improvements increased visibility across the terms that actually generate enquiries.

Analysed technical health, content gaps, keyword coverage and what competitors were doing better.

02

Prioritise

Focused on the highest-impact issues and opportunities first, rather than working through a flat list.

03

Implement

Made the technical fixes, updated the service pages, published supporting content and built relevant links.

04

Validate

Tracked performance, verified results in Search Console, then refined from there.
